Jenkins School, the pride of Cooch Behar was established in 1861. However, the Alumni Association of the School did not come into existence at that time. An attempt of sorts was made on 18th April, 2010 when about 35 alumni passing out of the school in different years attended the rendezvous and decided to initiate the process of forming an Alumni Association of the School.
The 1st reunion of the alumni was held on Debangan Hall in Maniktala on 9th May, 2010. In the said meeting a resolution was taken to form Jenkins School Alumni Association and a Committee was constituted for this purpose. Finally, the Jenkins School Alumni Association was registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961, on 4th April, 2011.
The mission of the Jenkins School Alumni Association is to strengthen the bond between the alumni and their Alma Mater, to preserve and promote the great traditions of the school and to keep alive all the nostalgic memories of the glorious history of the school, the affection and erudition of the former teachers and our yearnings for going back to the picturesque town of our boyhood days.
The alumni association has activities for its members and also for all ex-students of the school throughout the year. In addition, its ambition to do something for the development of the present students of the school.
In this website, we have only provided the names of the life and annual members of the association. In future, we are planning to furnish the details of most of the ex-students of Jenkins school.
Requesting all the ex-students to come forward and become members of the association and actively take part in all the activities so that this association becomes a very lively one.
